Fall Into Reading
Navidad gives children the tools to build a love for reading through book access and personal ownership via the Fall into Reading project. Since its inception in 2005, Navidad has distributed 127,699 new books to help children build a love for the written word.
 The Fall into Reading project consists of several elements:
Annually, local social service agencies, schools, churches and recreation center program participants are selected to receive books to form mobile libraries or classroom reading corners or to use as library additions at their individual sites for children to use daily.
Families in five counties Dallas, Collin, Denton, Tarrant and Johnson are chosen to receive books with their learning toys for gifts during the holidays.
Book Blast donations are given to agencies who serve at-risk children or those in crisis who in turn provide opportunities for the children to select a book of their choice to read and own.
